Do I need a rod clamp if my cage has rod holes?
No. Cages with built-in 15 mm rod slots hold rods directly; clamps add rods to cages and plates that do not.
What is an offset clamp for?
It moves the rod line up or sideways to clear a lens or a battery, which is common on cameras with a tall grip.
