About the Lighting & Studio range

Continuous lights are the core of the department: point-source COB heads for key light, panels for soft fill, tubes and small RGB units for accents. Most COB heads use the Bowens mount, which opens up a wide range of softboxes, lanterns and fresnels listed under Light Modifiers. Check the mount on both the light and the modifier before buying.

Stands, booms, clamps and sandbags from Kupo and Manfrotto carry the rest. A light stand is rated for a maximum load; heavier heads and large modifiers need a C-stand or a stand with a wider base. Backgrounds, reflectors and flags complete a small studio, and every item ships free within Australia.

Lighting & Studio questions

What size LED light do I need for YouTube or interviews?

For one person at a desk, a 60 to 100 W COB light through a softbox or a mid-size panel is plenty. For interviews with the light further back, 150 to 300 W gives room to diffuse heavily. Output and recommended use are listed on each light.

What does bi-colour mean?

A bi-colour light adjusts its colour temperature, typically from 2700 K (warm) to 6500 K (daylight), so it can match window light or tungsten fixtures. Daylight-only lights are fixed near 5600 K and are usually brighter for the price. RGB lights add full colour on top.

Will a softbox from one brand fit a light from another?

If both use the Bowens mount, yes. Smaller lights and some brands use their own mounts, and adaptors exist for many of them. The mount type is listed on every light and modifier page.

Can I run these lights from a battery?

Many COB heads and most panels accept V-mount or NP-F batteries, either directly or through a plate. The power options are listed under each product's specifications, and the batteries are in the Video department.
