About the Radio & Security range

Full-duplex wireless intercoms such as the Hollyland Solidcom and Eartec ranges let a camera crew, stage team or event staff talk hands-free without a licence, using the 1.9 GHz DECT or 2.4 GHz bands. Systems are sold as complete kits of a set number of headsets, with expansion packs listed alongside.

Surveillance and body cameras are listed with resolution, storage and battery life. All items ship free within Australia and carry the manufacturer's Australian warranty.

Radio & Security questions

Do wireless intercoms need a licence in Australia?

DECT (1.9 GHz) and 2.4 GHz intercom systems are licence-free in Australia. The band is listed on each product.

How many people can talk at once?

Full-duplex systems let every connected headset talk and listen at the same time, like a phone call. Each kit lists the number of headsets included and the maximum the base station supports.

What is the range of a wireless intercom?

Typically 300 to 400 metres line of sight for 1.9 GHz systems, less indoors or through walls. The range on each product page is the manufacturer's open-air figure.

Can I add more headsets later?

Yes, up to the base station's limit. Single headsets and expansion packs are listed next to each system.
