What is a cheese plate?

A flat plate drilled with a grid of 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 holes. It mounts to a cage or rods and gives you somewhere to bolt anything with a standard thread.

Why do I need a cable clamp?

Micro HDMI and USB-C ports on cameras are fragile. A clamp anchors the cable to the cage so a tug on the monitor cable cannot damage the port.
