About the PTZ Camera Solutions range

Choose resolution, frame rate and lens reach for the room and production workflow. 4K provides extra detail and cropping flexibility, while 1080p may suit conferencing and standard live streams. Optical zoom preserves image quality when framing presenters at a distance, so compare the zoom ratio with the camera-to-subject distance. Check the available outputs, including HDMI, SDI, USB and IP, plus features such as autofocus, AI tracking, presets and low-light performance. A USB camera can suit a computer-based setup, while SDI or IP connections may be more suitable for switchers and longer cable runs.

Check the camera's connections, control method, power requirements and mounting thread before ordering. HDMI, SDI and USB are not interchangeable without suitable conversion, and an IP or NDI workflow depends on your network, software and available PoE equipment. Confirm whether your computer recognises the camera as a UVC webcam and whether your streaming or conferencing software supports the chosen output. This range is organised into PTZ Cameras and PTZ Camera Accessories, including controllers and ceiling mounts. Check the listed camera compatibility and the mounting surface before selecting an accessory.

PTZ Camera Solutions questions

Can I use a PTZ camera as a webcam in Australia?

Many PTZ cameras with USB video output can operate as webcams in compatible conferencing or streaming software. Check the product specifications for UVC support, USB type and required resolution. HDMI and SDI outputs generally require a capture device before a computer can use them as a webcam.

What is the difference between HDMI, SDI, USB and IP on a PTZ camera?

HDMI connects directly to many displays, switchers and capture devices over shorter runs. SDI suits broadcast cabling and longer runs. USB connects to a computer as video, where supported. IP sends video and control through a network, but may require compatible software, network configuration or PoE equipment.

Will a PTZ camera fit a ceiling mount?

Do not assume that every PTZ camera uses the same mount. Check the camera's mounting thread, the accessory specifications, weight capacity and whether the mount is designed for ceiling or wall installation. A mount with a 1/4-20 interface may suit compatible cameras, but the product listing remains the final compatibility check.
