Description
The SmallRig Half Cage for Sony Alpha 7 IV, Alpha 7S III, Alpha 1 and Alpha 7R IV is a lightweight camera cage for adding mounting points and protecting the body. It suits shooters who want a compact rig with direct access to the camera controls and a bare-camera style grip.
It uses an Arca-type plate with a 1/4-20 screw for camera mounting and has a built-in Arca-type base for tripod use. Mounting points include multiple 1/4-20 threads, multiple ARRI anti-twist 3/8-16 threads and one cold shoe. The aluminium, silicone and steel build weighs 115 g and measures 108 x 98.5 x 51.3 mm.
In practice, it works well for handheld, tripod or gimbal use with a compatible Sony body. It can pair with a separate grip if needed, since the grip is not included. The box includes the half camera cage, a locking side plate and a magnetic spanner.
