Description
The Rode NTG2 is a shotgun microphone for recording dialogue, effects and on-camera audio where directionality matters. It suits film, video and field work when you want a mic that can run from phantom power or a single AA battery.
It has a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range, a selectable 80 Hz high-pass filter, and a 3-pin XLR balanced output. Sensitivity is -36 dB ±2 dB re 1 V/Pa at 1 kHz, equivalent noise is 18 dBA SPL, and maximum SPL is 131 dB at 1 kHz with 1% THD into a 1 kΩ load. Output impedance is 250 Ω on phantom power and 350 Ω on battery power.
In use, it connects to mixers, recorders and cameras with XLR input and works with 48 V phantom power or a 1.5 V AA battery. The box includes the NTG2 microphone, a zip pouch, a microphone stand mount and a windshield.
