Description
The MOTU M4 is a 4 in, 4 out USB-C audio interface for recording, mixing and podcasting. It suits home studios, content creators and musicians who need straightforward capture and monitoring from a computer or iOS device. It provides two mic, line or instrument inputs and four analogue outputs in a compact desktop format.
It supports up to 192 kHz at 32-bit and uses ESS Sabre conversion. The interface includes 2 XLR-1/4 inch combo inputs, 2 balanced line outputs, 4 analogue outputs in total, MIDI in and out, selectable +48 V phantom power on individual inputs, and a 120 dB dynamic range on the balanced outputs. It also offers zero-latency direct monitoring and a 2.5 ms round trip at 32/96 kHz, depending on buffer size.
In use, it connects by USB-C and draws power from the bus, so it suits a simple desktop setup. It works with macOS, Windows and iOS, and it can be used with monitors, headphones and MIDI gear. The box includes the MOTU M4 interface and a USB cable.
