Description
SmallRig 4183B is a full camera cage for Sony FX3A, and it also suits FX30 and FX3 setups that need extra protection and mounting points. It is aimed at video shooters who want a more secure base for accessories without adding much bulk. The cage measures 159 x 101.2 x 66.2mm and weighs 195±5g.
It uses aluminium alloy, stainless steel, silicone and PC+fibre parts. The modular design includes a removable NATO rail, a hinge arm at the battery door, a dedicated HDMI cable clamp, 1/4-20 threaded holes, ARRI 3/8-16 locating holes and an Arca-Swiss quick release plate. The cage is built to keep access practical while adding attachment points for a rig.
In use, it fits the Sony FX3A and can be paired with a gimbal, tripod or other Arca-Swiss compatible support. The box includes 1 x cage, 1 x NATO rail, 1 x HDMI cable clamp and 2 x 1/4-20 screws. It is a straightforward choice for building a compact rig around the camera.
