Description
The Sennheiser ME 2-II is an omnidirectional lavalier microphone for wireless bodypack systems. It suits presenters, interviewers and performers who need a compact mic that clips to clothing and captures speech clearly while leaving hands free. It uses a permanent polarised condenser design and is built for vocal and instrument pick-up.
It offers a 20 mV/Pa sensitivity, 32 dB equivalent noise level and a 130 dB maximum sound pressure level. The frequency response covers 50 Hz to 18 kHz, with a 30 Hz to 20 kHz range also listed. The cable is 1.6 m long and ends in a mini-jack connection. The microphone measures 6.5 mm in diameter, with another diameter figure of 10.5 mm also listed.
In use, the microphone clips to clothing with the supplied clip and can be fitted with the metal windscreen for practical recording setups. It is intended for bodypack transmitters used with Sennheiser evolution wireless SK systems and similar mini-jack wireless connections. The box includes the ME 2-II microphone, clip and metal windscreen.
