Description
The RODE Lavalier II is a compact omnidirectional lapel microphone for speech recording, interviews and other on-body recording work. It suits creators, presenters and crew who need a small mic that sits close to the speaker and stays out of frame. Its low-profile body and locking connector make it practical for setups where the microphone needs to be secured and discreet.
It uses a 6mm capsule with a permanently polarised design and JFET impedance converter. The frequency range is 20Hz to 20kHz, with 2K2Ω output impedance, 66 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 28 dBA typical equivalent noise level. It runs on 1.8V to 5V plug-in power, weighs 9g and has a 1200mm cable. The 3.5mm TRS output includes a locking connector.
In use, it can be clipped to clothing with the supplied mic clip and adjusted with the included coloured ID rings. The pop filter and mini furry windshield help reduce plosives and outdoor noise. It is suited to compatible recorders, cameras and wireless systems with a 3.5mm TRS input and plug-in power, or a suitable adapter where required. The box includes the microphone, pop filter, mini furry windshield, compact mic clip, coloured ID rings and zip case.
