Description
The Sennheiser e 835 is a dynamic vocal microphone for live voice use, speech and general stage work. Its cardioid pickup pattern helps focus on the source in front of the mic while reducing sound from the sides and rear. It suits singers, presenters and performers who want a handheld microphone for wired XLR setups.
It uses a dynamic transducer with a frequency response of 40 to 16,000 Hz, a sensitivity of 2.7 mV/Pa and a nominal impedance of 350 Ω. The microphone has a minimum terminating impedance of 1 kΩ and connects through a 3-pin XLR. It measures 48 x 180 mm and weighs 330 g. The metal housing, hum-compensating coil and advanced capsule suspension are designed for regular stage use.
In practice, the e 835 is used with XLR-3 connected audio equipment such as mixers, stage boxes, audio interfaces and PA systems. It is a straightforward handheld vocal mic for wired setups.
