Description
The MOTU M2 is a 2 in, 2 out USB-C audio interface for recording, mixing and podcasting. It suits solo musicians, home studios and creators who need simple mic, line and instrument recording with direct monitoring and MIDI connection in a compact desktop unit.
It provides two XLR-1/4-inch combo inputs with individual gain and selectable +48 V phantom power, plus two balanced 1/4-inch TRS outputs and mirrored RCA outputs. Audio runs at up to 192 kHz and 24-bit, with 120 dB dynamic range on the balanced outputs and -129 dB EIN on the mic inputs. A full-colour LCD shows input and output levels, and loopback is included for streaming or podcast routing.
In use, it connects to macOS, Windows or iOS devices over USB-C and is bus-powered, so it does not need a separate power supply. It also includes 5-pin MIDI In and Out for hardware controllers and instruments. The box includes the interface and a USB cable.
