Description
The Decimator MD-LX is a compact HDMI and SDI signal converter for video production setups that need to move between camera, switcher and display connections. It suits users who work with mixed HDMI Type A and 3G, HD or SD SDI equipment and want a small unit that can handle conversion in either direction.
It provides 1 x HDMI Type A input and 1 x (3G/HD/SD)-SDI input, with matching HDMI Type A and SDI outputs. It runs from USB power at +4.4V to +5.25V DC and uses under 2.5 watts. The unit measures 60mm x 73.7mm x 23mm, making it easy to place in a rack, on a cart or near a camera rig.
In practice, it connects HDMI Type A and (3G/HD/SD)-SDI devices and can be set up for bidirectional conversion between the two formats. It also supports 3G level A and B conversion and uses micro USB for power, control and firmware updates. A power supply and USB cable are included, while an HDMI cable is not included.
