Description
The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter UpDownCross HD is a compact signal converter for video production setups that need to match different SDI and HDMI formats. It suits users working with SD, HD and 3G-SDI gear who need up, down or cross conversion between common broadcast formats without changing the rest of the chain.
It has 1 x SD, HD or 3G-SDI input, 1 x HDMI type A input, 1 x external reference input, 1 x loop out and 2 x SDI outputs, plus an HDMI type A output with monitor EDID support. It supports SDI rates of 270Mb, 1.5G and 3G, auto detects SD, HD or 3G-SDI inputs, and provides USB updates and configuration.
In practice, it sits between cameras, switchers, monitors and projectors to convert signals and keep a system working across different video standards. It supports black burst and Tri-Sync reference for SD and HD, and the box includes the Mini Converter UpDownCross HD and a 12V universal power supply with international socket adapters.
