Description
Blackmagic Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 12G is a compact converter for sending HDMI video to SDI equipment. It suits camera, computer, and playback setups that need to feed professional SDI monitors, switchers, or recorders. It handles a single HDMI input and provides two 12G-SDI outputs, making it useful when an HDMI source needs to be distributed to more than one SDI destination.
It supports up to DCI 4K60 and works with SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats over 12G-SDI. The converter includes selectable SD, HD Level A and Level B SDI ports, automatic input signal detection, SDI re-clocking, and HDMI copy protection support with HDCP 2.2. Embedded audio is carried over HDMI and SDI. Power is supplied through USB-C, and the unit draws 4 W.
In practice, it connects HDMI sources such as cameras or computers to SDI gear with BNC inputs. It is compatible with macOS 10.15.15 or later, macOS 11.1 or later, and Windows 10. The box includes the Blackmagic Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 12G. No separate audio connections or expansion slots are included.
