About the Video Tripod Systems range

What does counterbalance do?

It offsets the camera's weight so the head holds any tilt angle without drifting and returns smoothly to level.

Is a heavier tripod better?

Heavier legs damp vibration and resist wind, but a properly rated lighter carbon system is fine for most work and easier to carry.

Can I use a video head on photo legs?

Yes with a flat-base head or a bowl adapter, as long as the legs carry the weight.
