Description
The Zoom H2essential Multi-Mic 32-Bit Float Handy Recorder is a handheld recorder for capturing speech, music and sound effects in a compact format. It suits solo creators, podcasters, streamers and field recordists who want simple handheld recording with built-in mics and a 3.5 mm input. The unit can record stereo, mono and surround audio, depending on the setup.
It records up to 96 kHz in 32-bit float and supports WAV, BWF and iXML files. The built-in 3-microphone array is joined by one 3.5 mm TRS mic or line input with plug-in power. Other useful functions include pre-record buffering, voice activation, remote control support, timecode support and a built-in speaker. A 1.3 inch LCD screen is fitted for level and menu checks.
In use, it can be paired with a memory card for portable recording without internal storage. It supports microSDHC and microSDXC cards up to 2 TB. The recorder is suitable for feeding audio from a microphone or line source, and for listening back through the 3.5 mm line or headphone output.
