Description
The Tiffen 46mm UV Protector Filter is a circular screw-in lens filter for cameras and camcorders with a 46 mm front thread. It suits photographers who want basic UV reduction while keeping a clear filter on the lens for day-to-day use. It also helps reduce a bluish cast in daylight and adds a layer of front-element protection.
It has a 46 mm circular size and 46 mm front accessory thread. The filter factor is 1, which means 0 stop light loss. It uses Tiffen ColorCore technology and is designed as a general protective filter. The UV filter type helps absorb ultraviolet light without adding colour or contrast, so it can stay on the lens during regular shooting.
In practice, this filter screws onto a 46 mm lens and can be left in place as a protective layer. It pairs well with cameras and lenses that use a 46 mm filter thread, and with other filters when a clear protective layer is needed.
