Description
The RODE VideoMic GO II is an ultra-lightweight shotgun microphone for recording clear audio with a camera, computer or mobile device. It suits creators who want a small on-camera mic for filming, streaming or voice capture without dealing with batteries. Its directional design helps focus on the sound source while keeping the setup simple.
It uses a pressure gradient electret condenser capsule with a supercardioid polar pattern and a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. The mic has a 3.5mm TRS output and USB-C digital output, with 24-bit audio at 48 kHz in USB mode. It also features a HELIX isolation mount, a signal to noise ratio of 79 dBA, equivalent noise of 15 dBA, and a maximum input SPL of 110 dB SPL.
In practice, it can connect to cameras through the 3.5mm TRS output or to computers and compatible mobile devices through USB-C. It does not require batteries, which keeps setup and carry weight down. The box includes the RODE VideoMic GO II shotgun microphone, SC14 TRS-TRS cable, foam windshield and HELIX isolation mount.
