Description
The RODE PodMic USB is a dynamic broadcast and podcast microphone for people who want one mic that can work with a computer or a mixer. It suits podcasting, streaming and voice recording, and uses a cardioid pickup pattern with end-address placement to focus on the voice in front of it.
It offers both XLR and USB-C output, so it can connect to an audio interface, mixer or computer. The USB side is class-compliant, uses bus power, and supports Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. It has a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, mono sound field, zero-latency headphone output and on-board headphone volume control. The included pop filter helps reduce plosives.
In use, it can be plugged straight into a computer over USB-C or patched into a larger setup through XLR. It pairs with recording software, podcast setups and mobile devices that support USB audio. In the box are the PodMic USB microphone, an SC29 USB-C to USB-C cable and a pop filter.
