Description
The Blackmagic Micro Converter Bidirectional SDI/HDMI 3G is a compact signal converter for moving video between SDI and HDMI systems. It suits camera rigs, monitors and live production setups where one unit needs to handle both directions and keep signals compatible across different gear.
It provides one 3G-SDI BNC input and output plus one HDMI 2.0 input and output, with embedded audio carried over both formats. It supports simultaneous SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI conversion, automatic input detection, SDI re-clocking, HDMI timecode, camera control via SDI switchers and up to DCI 2K60 video. Power is via USB-C and it uses 2.5 W.
In practice, it can sit between a camera, switcher, recorder or monitor to link SDI and HDMI equipment in the same setup. It works with macOS 10.15, macOS 11.1 or later, and Windows 10 64-bit. The box includes the Blackmagic Design Micro Convertor Bidirectional SDI/HDMI 3G.
