Description
BirdDog PLAY is a compact NDI 5 to HDMI 2.0 player and converter for monitoring or playback from an NDI network. It suits video operators who need a small unit for bringing NDI sources to a display or TV over HDMI, with local stereo analogue audio output as well.
It accepts NDI and NDI HX streams over RJ45 and outputs up to UHD 4K at 60 fps through HDMI 2.0. Supported video formats include 4K, 1080p and 720p at common broadcast frame rates. It also carries 2-channel embedded audio over RJ45 and HDMI, includes a 3.5 mm stereo analogue output, and has an HDMI output latency of 2 frames.
In use, it connects by Ethernet to an NDI network and by HDMI to a monitor, display or TV. It can work with NDI, NDI HX2, NDI Remote and NDI Bridge, and supports API control. The box includes the BirdDog PLAY 4K NDI Player.
