About the Computers & Monitors range

For photo and video editing, colour accuracy matters more than size or refresh rate. Look at the colour gamut the panel covers, such as sRGB for web work and Adobe RGB for print, and whether it supports hardware calibration so the correction is stored in the monitor rather than the graphics card. Resolution and pixel density decide how much of the timeline or image you see at once. For a secondary touch display, check the connection it needs, the software it runs with and how it mounts to your desk or main monitor.

A common mistake is calibrating a wide-gamut monitor without setting the editing software to match, which leaves colours oversaturated on screen. Plan to recalibrate with a colorimeter at regular intervals, and keep room lighting consistent so what you see on screen matches your prints. Check your computer's ports before ordering: some monitors connect by USB-C, while others need DisplayPort or HDMI. A touch display used as a control surface also needs a USB connection for touch input as well as its video link.

Computers & Monitors questions

Do I need a colour-managed monitor for photo editing?

If you print, deliver work to clients or match colours across devices, a colour-managed monitor with a wide gamut and calibration support makes a real difference. For casual web viewing a standard monitor is fine, but its colours can drift and are harder to correct.

What is hardware calibration?

Hardware calibration writes the colour correction into the monitor's own lookup table, rather than applying it through the computer's graphics output. This keeps more tonal gradation and means the correction stays with the monitor. You still need a compatible colorimeter and the maker's calibration software.

What is a touch display like the XENEON EDGE used for?

It works as a secondary screen for widgets, system monitoring, media controls and shortcuts, leaving your main monitor clear for the work itself. Check its connection needs and mounting options on the product page to make sure it suits your computer and desk layout.
