About EIZO

The CS2400S has a 1920 x 1200 panel in a 16:10 ratio, which gives extra vertical space for tool palettes and timelines. EIZO lists coverage of 99 percent of the Adobe RGB colour space, a 16-bit lookup table and 10-bit simultaneous display for smooth gradations. Its Digital Uniformity Equaliser technology keeps colour and brightness consistent across the screen, and each unit ships with a factory measurement report. Use a calibration sensor to keep it accurate over time.

Choose a colour-management monitor like this if you edit stills for print, since Adobe RGB coverage lets you see colours that sRGB monitors cannot show. For web-only work, set the monitor and your software to sRGB so colours are not oversaturated. Calibrate regularly and keep room lighting consistent. Check your computer's outputs and cables against the monitor's inputs before ordering. EIZO publishes a five year warranty on the CS2400S covering all components including the panel, and a six month zero bright sub-pixel policy.

EIZO questions

Is the EIZO CS2400S suited to print work?

It is designed for it. EIZO lists 99 percent Adobe RGB coverage, which includes many print colours outside the sRGB range, along with uniformity correction and a factory measurement report. Pair it with regular calibration and soft proofing in your editing software for consistent print matching.

What warranty does EIZO give on the CS2400S?

EIZO publishes a five year warranty for the CS2400S covering all components, including the LCD panel, plus a six month zero bright sub-pixel policy. See EIZO's product page for the full terms and keep your proof of purchase.

Why does the CS2400S use a 16:10 screen?

A 1920 x 1200 resolution gives 120 more pixel rows than a 16:9 full HD screen. That extra height shows more of a portrait image, more of a timeline or more tool palettes at once, which helps when editing on a 24 inch monitor.
