Description
The Audio-Technica AT2020 is a side-address large diaphragm condenser microphone for voice, instruments and home studio recording. It suits creators who want a cardioid mic that focuses on the source in front of it and keeps background sound under control.
It uses a fixed-charge back plate, permanently polarised condenser element with a cardioid polar pattern. The frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz, sensitivity is 14.1 mV/Pa, impedance is 100 ohms, and maximum input sound level is 144 dB SPL at 1 kHz and 1% THD. Self-noise is 20 dB, signal-to-noise ratio is 74 dB, and dynamic range is 124 dB.
In use, it connects by 3-pin XLR and needs 48 V phantom power. It measures 162 mm long, 52 mm in body diameter, and weighs 345 g, so it fits standard microphone stands with the included stand mount and 5/8-27 to 3/8-16 threaded adapter. A protective pouch is also included.
