Description
The TASCAM DR-05XP is a handheld portable audio recorder for speech, interviews, music and effects recording. It suits users who want simple two-channel capture with built-in microphones and the option to connect an external mic or line source. The 32-bit float format helps keep recordings usable when levels change during a session.
It records up to 96 kHz in 32-bit float, with WAV, BWF and MP3 support. The recorder has an onboard omnidirectional stereo microphone pair in A/B configuration, a 3.5mm mic or line input with plug-in power, and a 3.5mm line or headphone output. It also includes auto gain, limiter, low-cut filter, reverb, overdubbing and voice activation, plus a monochrome backlit LCD and built-in mono speaker.
In practice, it can be used on its own for quick field recordings or paired with a mic, camera feed or other audio source through the 3.5mm input. It works with microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC cards up to 512 GB. The box includes the TASCAM DR-05XP recorder only.
