Description
The Sony MDR-7506A are closed-back, over-ear monitor headphones for studio, broadcast and video work. They suit users who want a wired headphone for checking detail, vocals and mix balance while keeping sound contained around the ear.
They use 40 mm neodymium drivers with a 10 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range, 63 ohms impedance and 104dB SPL/mW sensitivity. The headphones are rated for up to 1000 mW input power and use a single-sided coiled cable that is 10 ft, or 3 m, long. Weight is 7.8 oz, or 221 g.
In use, they connect to devices with a 1/8 inch stereo mini-jack, and the included 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch TRS adapter lets them work with many mixers, interfaces and headphone outputs. The swivelling earcups help when checking one ear at a time. The box includes a soft case and 1/4 inch adapter.
