Description
The SmallRig 1859 Universal Microphone Shock Mount Adapter is a compact mount for shotgun and other cylindrical microphones. It suits camera operators and audio users who want to reduce handling noise and keep a microphone fixed on a camera, boompole, or hand grip.
It uses a four point suspension to isolate the microphone from vibration and noise. The mount accepts microphones with a 15 to 40 mm diameter and has an adjustment knob for angle positioning. Mounting options include a built in shoe mount and a 3/8-16 threaded base. The unit measures 55 x 50 x 121 mm and weighs 73 g.
In use, the shoe mount attaches to a camera or camera cage, while the 3/8-16 base suits boompoles and universal hand grips.
