Description
The Rycote 20cm Hot Shoe Extension is a camera rig component for mounting more than one accessory on a single hot shoe. It suits videographers and camera users who need to place lights, microphones or similar accessories with more flexibility on a rig. It also lets the accessory be moved out of shot while still staying mounted securely.
It measures 20 cm long, 20 mm wide and 25 mm high, and weighs 50 g. The unit uses a 3/8" Whitworth male brass thread and rotates 360° around the shoe fixture. It is designed for male flash shoe accessories and camera-mounted female hot shoe extensions, and is also available in 10 cm and 40 cm lengths.
In practice, it is fitted to a camera hot shoe and used to add another attachment point for compatible gear. It pairs with male flash shoe accessories and camera-mounted female hot shoe extensions.
