Description
The Palmer PAN 01 is a passive single-channel DI box for sending an unbalanced instrument signal to a balanced XLR input. It suits players, recording setups and live rigs where a simple, no-power solution is needed for clean signal transfer and a direct feed to a mixer, interface or stage box.
It has a 1/4-inch TS unbalanced input, a 1/4-inch TS thru output and a 3-pin XLR balanced output. The pad switch lets it handle hotter signals, while the ground lift switch helps with noise issues. It covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz, accepts up to +54 dBu, and has a 60 kilohm input impedance. It requires no operating voltage.
In use, it sits between the source and the destination. Plug an instrument or line source into the jack input, send the thru output to an amp if needed, and run the XLR output to a mixer or recorder. It works with unbalanced 6.3 mm jack sources. The box includes the Palmer PAN 01 Passive DI Box.
