Description
The DZOFilm Vespid Prime2 18mm T1.9 is a full-frame cinema prime for PL mount cameras. It suits productions that want a wide lens with manual cine controls, compact handling and metadata support. The 18mm focal length works well for interiors, tight spaces, establishing shots and handheld or rigged setups where a lighter lens is easier to balance.
It offers a T1.9 maximum aperture and closes to T22, giving a wide range for low-light work and exposure control. The lens uses an aspherical element to help reduce aberrations, has 0.8 MOD focus gearing with 300° focus rotation, and includes Cooke /i Technology metadata support. The front diameter is 80 mm, with a weight of 800 g.
In practice, this lens is built for PL-mount cine cameras and works with standard 0.8 MOD follow focus systems. The metric focus scale suits crews working in metres.
