Description

The Audio-Technica PRO45 is a hanging cardioid condenser microphone for choirs, orchestras, theatre stages and other fixed installation sound setups. It suits users who need an unobtrusive microphone that can be suspended above the performance area while still capturing focused sound from a specific direction.

It uses a condenser transducer with a cardioid polar pattern and a frequency response of 70 Hz to 16 kHz. The mic handles sound up to 134 dB SPL, with a typical dynamic range of 106 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 66 dB. It runs on 9 to 52 V phantom power, draws 2 mA typical, and has a 100 ohm output with an XLR-3M connector. The mic measures 56.9 x 12 mm and weighs 15 g.

In practice, it is hung over the source using the included steel hanger and can be connected with the attached 7.6 m cable. The box also includes a foam windscreen. It pairs with mixers, audio interfaces or installed sound systems that provide phantom power and an XLR mic input.
