About the Cranes & Jib Arms range

Start with the complete mounted load, including the camera, lens, battery, monitor, matte box and other accessories. Check the arm's rated payload and leave practical headroom rather than working at its limit. Compare maximum reach, folded length, adjustment range, tilt and pan movement, mounting method and counterweight requirements. A longer arm can provide greater movement, but it also needs a stronger tripod, head and support surface. For smaller rigs, confirm whether an accessory arm is intended for a handle, monitor or another lightweight component.

Check every connection before ordering. Camera cranes may require a suitable tripod, fluid head, quick release plate and counterweights, which may not be included. Confirm thread size, plate style, bowl compatibility and the manufacturer's stated load limits. Extension arms and adapters are organised by mounting standard, such as ARRI-style rosettes, 15 mm rods or cage-specific fittings. A rosette arm is not automatically compatible with every cage or handle, and a side arm may be designed for one specific cage system. Review the product page for included hardware and dispatch time.

Cranes & Jib Arms questions

Do camera jibs include a tripod and counterweights?

Not necessarily. Check the individual product listing for included components. Many jib arms require a separate tripod or fluid head, and balancing may require counterweights. Confirm the total camera package weight, the jib's payload rating and the support equipment's load capacity before use.

How do I choose the right camera crane length?

Choose based on the space available and the movement you need. Measure the required reach, including clearance around the camera and subject. Longer arms can create wider movement, but they increase leverage on the tripod and require more counterweight. Check both working and packed lengths.

Will an ARRI rosette arm fit my camera cage?

Only if the cage or attached accessory has a matching ARRI-style rosette and suitable fixing hardware. Check the rosette position, thread specification, arm length and clearance around the camera. Tilta and SmallRig components should be checked against the exact cage and handle model before ordering.
