Description
The RODE PSA1 is a studio boom arm for broadcast, radio, voiceover and home recording setups. It suits users who want to position a microphone close to the mouth, move it out of the way when not in use, and keep it steady on a desk. It is designed for broadcast-style microphones and works well in fixed desktop rigs.
It offers a 32" (820mm) horizontal reach and a 33" (840mm) vertical reach. The arm rotates through 360 degrees and includes touch-fastener cable wraps to keep cabling tidy. Mounting options include a desk clamp and desk-insert hardware, which gives flexibility for different desk setups. The included 3/8" adapter supports microphone mounting.
In use, the PSA1 is suited to podcasting, streaming, voice recording and spoken-word work where the mic needs to sit in a repeatable position. It pairs with microphones that fit a 3/8" mount, and it is commonly used with broadcast microphones and shock mounts. In the box are the boom arm, 3/8" adapter, touch-fastener straps, desk-clamp attachment and desk-insert hardware.
