Description
The Kali Audio IN-8 V2 is a powered 3-way studio monitor for mixing, production and critical listening. It suits users who want accurate nearfield or mid-field monitoring with a coaxial midrange and tweeter design that helps keep sound focused at the listening position.
It uses Class D amplification with a tri-amped setup rated at 140 W total, split between 60 W for the low end, 40 W for the midrange and 40 W for the high end. The speaker uses an 8-inch paper LF driver, a 4-inch optimised profile paper midrange driver and a 1-inch textile dome HF driver. Its frequency response is 37 Hz to 25 kHz at -10 dB and 45 Hz to 21 kHz at ±3 dB. Maximum SPL is 117 dB, and DSP functions include loudspeaker tuning, limiter, crossover and boundary EQ settings.
In practice, the IN-8 V2 is used as a single monitor or as part of a stereo pair with audio interfaces, controllers and other balanced or unbalanced studio gear. It is recommended for listening distances from 0.5 to 3.5 metres. The box includes the Kali Audio IN-8 V2 3-Way Coincident Studio Monitor and a power cord.
