Description
The Tilta MB-T15 Mini Matte Box is a compact clamp-on matte box for cameras and lenses that need basic flare control and filter support without a large rig. It suits shooters who want a small, lightweight front-end solution for run-and-gun work, mirrorless setups, or smaller cinema rigs. It helps manage stray light while keeping the front of the lens accessible.
It uses one fixed 4 x 5.65 inch filter stage and also has a trayless 4 x 5.65 inch filter slot. The matte box clamps to a 15 mm single rod system with the included slide-on support, and it includes a carbon fibre top flag. It weighs 140 g and has 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threads plus shoe mounts for accessories.
In use, it mounts in front of a lens with the included adapter rings for 67 mm, 72 mm, 77 mm and 82 mm filter sizes, along with the 15 mm rod clamp and 3.9 inch rod. It pairs with cameras and lenses that suit a small matte box setup. The box includes the matte box body, top flag, adapter rings, rod clamp, rod and Allen wrench.
