Description
The NiSi Cinema C5 Matte Box Filmmaker Kit is a clamp-on matte box for video shooters who want better control over stray light and filter use on cinema-style setups. It suits users working with compatible lenses and 4 x 4 inch or 4 x 5.65 inch filters. The kit is aimed at camera rigs where compact handling and front-of-lens filtration matter.
It supports 4 x 4 inch and 4 x 5.65 inch filters and includes a VND 1 to 5 stops filter. The matte box has an adjustable carbon fibre top flag, and the build combines plastic, aluminium and carbon fibre. Adapter rings for 67mm, 72mm, 77mm and 82mm front threads are included, along with filter trays for both filter sizes.
In use, it clamps to the front of the lens, then takes the included adapter ring for the lens thread size being used. It pairs with cinema and production cameras that accept front-threaded lenses in 67mm, 72mm, 77mm or 82mm sizes. The box includes a filter pouch, 4 x 4 inch tray, 4 x 5.65 inch tray, four adapter rings, a True Colour VND 1 to 5 Stops filter and an FS ND16 4 x 5.65 inch filter.
