Description
The Tiffen 72mm UV Protector Filter is a circular screw-on lens filter for photographers who want basic ultraviolet filtering and front-element protection in one piece. It suits anyone using a lens with a 72 mm filter thread and wanting a clear filter that can stay on the lens during regular shooting.
It uses UV filter type construction with a filter factor of 1, so it does not alter exposure. The 72 mm circular size and 72 mm front accessory thread make it straightforward to fit to compatible lenses. It helps absorb ultraviolet light, reduces bluish cast in daylight, and uses Tiffen ColorCore technology.
In practice, it is used as a general protective filter and can be left on the lens to help guard against dust, moisture, and scratches. It pairs with lenses that accept 72 mm filters.
