Description
The Tentacle Sync E mk2 Timecode Generator with Bluetooth is a dual set for matching timecode across camera and audio setups. It suits solo operators, small crews and multi-camera shoots that need a compact way to keep devices in sync and reduce time spent aligning recordings in post.
It generates LTC timecode to SMPTE-12M standard and supports 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 29.97DF and 30 frame rates. The high precision TCXO is rated at less than 1 frame drift in 24 hours across -30°C to +85°C. It has a built-in reference microphone, adjustable frame rate and TC output level through the Tentacle Setup App, and a built-in lithium polymer battery with up to 35 hours operating time. USB-C fast charging takes up to 1.5 hours.
In use, the units can jam-sync to an external timecode source or generate SMPTE timecode for connected gear with TRS input. The set works with the Tentacle Setup App on iOS, Android, macOS and Windows, and includes two software licences for Tentacle Sync Studio. The box includes 2 timecode generators, 2 angled mini jack cables, 2 USB-C cables, 2 clamps, 10 Velcro loop pads, 4 coloured rubber bands and a quickstart guide.
