Description
Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 Macro G OSS II is a full-frame telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. It suits photographers who want a flexible zoom range for portraits, events, travel and close-up work in one lens. The f/4 aperture keeps exposure consistent across the zoom range, while optical stabilisation and autofocus help when shooting handheld.
It covers 70 to 200mm with a maximum aperture of f/4 and a minimum aperture of f/22. The lens has 19 elements in 13 groups, a 9 blade rounded diaphragm, internal focus and floating elements design. Minimum focus distance is 26 cm, with 0.5x maximum magnification across the zoom range. It uses a 72 mm filter thread and weighs 794 g.
It mounts on Sony E full-frame cameras and can be used with mirrorless bodies that support that mount. In practice, it gives a useful range for subjects that move, tighter framing, and close detail shots without changing lenses. The box includes the lens, 72 mm front lens cap, rear lens cap and lens hood. A removable rotating tripod collar is also included.
