Description
The Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS is a zoom lens for Sony E-mount APS-C cameras. It suits photographers and video users who want one lens that covers wide-angle through to short telephoto without changing lenses. The constant f/4 aperture keeps exposure more consistent across the zoom range, and the built-in power zoom and optical stabilisation support handheld shooting.
It covers an 18 to 105 mm focal length, which is a 27 to 157.5 mm equivalent on APS-C cameras. The lens has a maximum aperture of f/4 and a minimum aperture of f/22, with 7 rounded diaphragm blades. It uses 16 elements in 12 groups, including two ED and three aspherical elements. Minimum focus distance is 45 cm, maximum magnification is 0.11x, and the filter thread is 72 mm.
In use, this lens works with Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras and is a practical choice for everyday shooting, travel, events and video work. It measures about 78 x 110 mm and weighs 427 g, so it stays fairly compact for an all-in-one zoom. The box includes the lens hood, front lens cap and rear lens cap.
