Description
Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary is a standard zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. It suits photographers who want one lens for everyday shooting, travel, portraits and general work. The constant f/2.8 aperture gives the same brightness across the zoom range, and autofocus makes it practical for stills and video use.
It covers 28 to 70mm with a minimum aperture of f/22 and an angle of view from 75.4° to 34.3°. The optical design uses 16 elements in 12 groups, including two FLD elements, two SLD elements and three aspherical elements. It has a 9 blade rounded diaphragm, a minimum focus distance of 19 cm, 67 mm filter thread, no image stabilisation, and weighs 470 g.
In use, it pairs with Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless bodies and suits a compact camera bag setup. The lens measures 72.2 x 101.5 mm. The box includes the lens, a 67 mm front cap, a rear cap for Sony E-mount lenses, a lens hood and a lens case.
