Description
The RØDE VXLR+ is a compact adapter that lets microphones with a 3.5 mm TRS connection work from an XLR input with phantom power. It suits users who need to connect RØDE on-camera microphones, lavalier mics or headset mics to mixers, recorders or cameras that provide XLR phantom power.
It accepts 12 to 48V phantom power and converts it to 3 to 5V plug-in power. The adapter has a 1/8 in (3.5 mm) TRS female connector at one end and a 3-pin XLR male connector at the other. It measures 58 x 19 x 19 mm and weighs 48 g, so it stays small and light in a rig.
In practice, it is used between a microphone and an XLR input when the mic needs plug-in power rather than phantom power. It pairs with compatible 3.5 mm TRS microphones, including RØDE on-camera and headset models. The box includes the VXLR+ adapter and a limited 1-year warranty.
