Description
Radial's ProDI is a passive direct box for stage and home recording studio use. It suits players and engineers who need to send a guitar, bass, keyboard or other instrument signal to a mixer or interface while keeping the signal stable and reducing ground loop noise.
It uses transformer isolation, a 140 kOhm unbalanced input impedance, and a 150 ohm balanced output impedance. The frequency response is 20 Hz to 18.5 kHz, and it accepts up to +18 dB at 20 Hz. It also includes a -15 dB pad and a ground-lift switch, with 128 dB dynamic range, 0.01% THD from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at -10 dB, and phase deviation of 1° at 100 Hz and 8° at 20 Hz.
In use, the instrument plugs into the 1/4-inch TS input, the 1/4-inch TS thru output can feed an amp, and the XLR output goes to a mixer, audio interface or stage box. It is passive, so it does not need power. The box includes the Radial Engineering ProDI Direct Box.
