Description
Radial Engineering ProD2 is a passive stereo direct box for keyboards and other line level instruments with two channels. It suits players and engineers who need to send a balanced signal to a mixer or recording interface while keeping a through output available for the original instrument signal. The two channel layout makes it practical for stereo sources and compact live or studio setups.
It has 2 x 1/4 inch TS inputs, 2 x XLR outputs, and 2 x 1/4 inch TS thru outputs. A -15 dB pad helps with active instruments and a ground lift switch helps reduce noise from ground loops. The frequency response is 20 Hz to 18.5 kHz, dynamic range is 128 dB, THD is 0.01 percent from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and input impedance is 140 kilohms.
In use, it sits between a keyboard or other stereo source and the rest of the audio system, with the XLR outputs going to a mixer, audio interface, or stage box. The thru outputs let the instrument continue to a local amp or monitor setup. It is passive and needs no power. The box contains the Radial Engineering ProD2 Direct Box.
