Description
The PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT is an active 8-inch studio subwoofer for adding controlled low end to small studios, desktop music setups and playback systems. It suits users who want to hear bass clearly without overloading their main speakers. The front-firing design helps it fit into compact rooms and near-field listening setups.
It uses a 50 W RMS Class-AB amplifier and an 8-inch composite low-frequency driver. The frequency response runs from 30 Hz to 200 Hz, with a maximum peak SPL of 103 dB. A continuously variable low-pass filter covers 50 Hz to 130 Hz, and the high-pass filter can be switched between 0 and 180 degrees polarity. Bluetooth 5.0 wireless audio input is included.
In practice, it sits between a source and a pair of main speakers to extend the low end and manage bass crossover duties. It works with balanced 1/4-inch TRS and unbalanced RCA connections, and provides pass-through outputs for satellite speakers. The box includes the PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT powered 8-inch Bluetooth studio subwoofer and a power cord.
