Description
Blackmagic Design DeckLink Duo 2 is a PCIe capture and playback card for SD and HD video workflows. It suits editors, studios and system builders who need flexible I/O in a single-slot card. The four bi-directional SDI connections can be set as inputs or outputs, so it works well for multichannel capture, playback and monitoring tasks.
It supports SDI formats from SD through HD up to 1080p60, with 1080p23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94 and 60, plus 1080i and 720p modes. The card uses a PCI-E x4 interface and supports 10 and 12-bit processing, 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 sampling, and REC 601 and REC 709 colour space. Down, up and cross conversion are also supported.
In use, the card pairs with a computer that has a suitable PCI Express slot and SDI equipment such as cameras, recorders, monitors or router inputs. It supports Mac OS 10.9 and newer, Windows 7, 8 and 10, and Linux. In the box are the DeckLink Duo 2 card, an SD card with software and manual, and the card uses a sync BNC input for reference.
