About YongNuo

The YN300-II is a bi colour on camera panel with 150 daylight and 150 tungsten balanced LEDs, adjustable from 3200 K to 5500 K. Brightness has rough and fine dimming modes, and the included eight channel IR remote works up to about 15 m away and can group up to eight lights. It ships with barn doors, four filter panels and a handle. The YN 35mm f/2 is a full frame Canon EF lens with 7 elements in 5 groups, seven aperture blades, a 52 mm filter thread and a 0.25 m minimum focus distance.

Power the YN300-II with a Sony NP-F series battery or an optional 8 V, 5 A DC adapter, as neither comes in the box. YongNuo quotes about 130 minutes from a 5800 mAh NP-F battery. It mounts on a hot shoe, stands on a flat surface with its mini plate or works handheld. The YN 35mm f/2 fits Canon EF full frame and APS-C bodies, and measures 73 mm across by 59 mm long. It weighs 155 g and offers autofocus and manual focus via a switch.

YongNuo questions

What battery does the YongNuo YN300-II use?

It runs on Sony NP-F series batteries, which are sold separately, or on an optional 8 V, 5 A DC power supply. YongNuo quotes roughly 130 minutes of use from a 5800 mAh NP-F battery.

Will the YN 35mm f/2 work on an APS-C Canon camera?

Yes. The lens covers full frame and works on APS-C Canon bodies with an EF mount. On an APS-C camera the crop factor gives a field of view similar to a 56 mm lens on full frame, a natural standard view.

Does the YN 35mm f/2 have autofocus?

Yes. It uses a digital stepper motor for autofocus and has an AF and MF switch on the barrel. Gold plated contacts pass aperture data to the camera so it appears in your image EXIF information.
