About Magewell
Magewell sorts its capture range into USB Capture external devices and Pro Capture internal cards. The USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro takes HDMI input up to 4096 by 2160 at 60 frames per second in 4:4:4, with an HDMI loop-through for a monitor. It connects over USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 at up to 20 Gbps, captures two channels of embedded HDMI audio, and has a 3.5 mm jack for a microphone or headphones. The Pro Capture SDI is a PCIe Gen2 x1 card with one SD, HD, 3G or 2K SDI input up to 2048 by 1080, an SDI loop-through and a low-profile bracket.
Choose by your source and your computer. For HDMI cameras, consoles or laptops, and for use across different machines, the USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro plugs in externally and works with Windows, Linux, Mac and Chrome. For SDI cameras and switchers feeding a fixed desktop or server with a spare PCIe slot, the Pro Capture SDI suits long cable runs and supports embedded audio, timecode and closed captions. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac, and Magewell offers an SDK. Check your capture software is supported; both work with common streaming and conferencing applications.

Magewell rates its input and loop-through up to 4096 by 2160 at 60 frames per second with 4:4:4 colour, and higher frame rates at lower resolutions. It needs a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 host port for its full throughput.
Does the Magewell Pro Capture SDI fit a small form factor PC?
The card uses a PCIe Gen2 x1 slot and comes with a low-profile bracket, so it suits compact desktop cases as well as full-height ones. It takes one SDI input up to 2048 by 1080, with an SDI loop-through output.
Do Magewell capture devices work on a Mac?
